This small size natural alexandrite in matrix specimen was mined in Bahia, Brazil. It is composed of more than 60% alexandrite! The alexandrite has dark green color under daylight, and in a few small areas it exhibits natural red-violet colors near some edges when viewed with strong incandescent light. The alexandrite is translucent to semi-transparent with mostly broken surfaces and a few tiny gem-grade areas which show very strong color change, and there are a few naturally terminated alexandrite surfaces which also show color change. This small size natural alexandrite in matrix specimen was mined in Bahia, Brazil. About 70% of this specimen consists of intergrown partially terminated alexandrite crystals! The alexandrite has dark green color under daylight, and it exhibits natural red-violet hues near some edges when viewed with strong incandescent light. This is a 100% natural alexandrite in mica schist matrix specimen that was mined in Bahia, Brazil. On the upper surface there are partially terminated natural alexandrite crystals embedded in the schist matrix as shown. It is translucent and has areas that show a color change to red-violet hues around the crystal edges under strong incandescent light.
