This natural red beryl in matrix specimen (also known as bixbite) was mined in the Wah Wah Mountains in Utah, U.S.A. It has rhyolite matrix with a large 22 mm long X 11.0 mm diameter crystal that is translucent to opaque red beryl with deep violet red color (Some reflectivity off of exposed faces). It has good morphology and this is a very large size specimen for this rare red beryl material.

This natural red beryl in matrix specimen (also known as bixbite) was mined in the Wah Wah Mountains in Utah, U.S.A. It has rhyolite matrix with a 30. mm long X 16.0 mm diameter crystal of translucent and opaque red beryl with light violet red color (Some small deeper areas). The crystal is very large for a red beryl specimen, and is also doubly terminated. Its crystal faces are of mostly good condition, however there is notable damage at ends of the crystal. This natural red beryl in matrix specimen (also known as bixbite) was mined in the Wah Wah Mountains in Utah, U.S.A. It has rhyolite matrix with a 15.4 mm long X 11.8 X 11.6 mm diameter crystal of translucent and opaque red beryl with medium dark violet red color (Some small deeper red areas). The crystal morphology is very nice for a red beryl specimen, and is probably doubly terminated. Its crystal faces are of mostly good condition, however there is some abration at end of the crystal. This natural red beryl in matrix specimen (also known as bixbite) was mined in the Wah Wah Mountains in Utah, U.S.A. It has rhyolite matrix with 3 over 13mm long X approximately 7mm diameter crystals of translucent and opaque red beryl with medium violet red color (Some small deeper red areas). The crystals morphology is fairly nice for a red beryl specimen, and they are intergrown in a cluster. Its crystal faces are of mostly good condition, however there is some abration and some atatched white rhyolite host rock. This is a very nice size specimen for this rare red beryl material. TThis natural red beryl in matrix specimen (also known as bixbite) was mined in the Wah Wah Mountains in Utah, U.S.A. It has rhyolite matrix with 2, partially gemmy, intergrown crystals on one side and 1 moderately damaged crystal on the back side. The crystals on the front side appear to be approximately 11mm long by 5mm in width and the one on the back is approximately 5 x 5mm. The crystals are of transparent, translucent and opaque red beryl with medium violet red color (Some small deeper red areas). The main crystals are fairly nice for a red beryl specimen, and they are intergrown with one showing a negative area where it grew against another crystal. There is some abrasion and some attached white rhyolite host rock on the red beryl material. Nice red beryl specimens are getting scarce. See also another view of this genuine red beryl specimen. This natural red beryl in matrix specimen (also known as bixbite) was mined in the Wah Wah Mountains in Utah, U.S.A. It has rhyolite matrix with a 7.5 mm long X 5.5 X mm diameter crystal of fairly gemmy transparent to translucent red beryl with medium dark violet red color (Some deeper red areas). The crystal morphology is very nice for a red beryl specimen, and is probably cuttable.(But please don't). Its crystal faces are of mostly good condition, however there is some abration at end of the crystal. This is a very nice but small size specimen for this rare red beryl material.
