The genuine star sapphire cabochon in this ring has medium grayish-purple natural color. This superior quality star sapphire gem is completely natural - it has not been heated or treated in any way. This genuine star sapphire is semi-transparent with a well developed natural six ray star when viewed under sunlight. This unique star sapphire gem shows some faint natural cross-hatching with some faintly visible natural inclusions. This natural sapphire cabochon gem has an uneven rough backside and a nicely polished slightly domed upper surface.
