This 2.2 inch diameter sphere was hand-ground and polished from natural biotite schist matrix with reddish pink spinel crystals. There are about 200 natural color translucent spinel crystals exposed on the surface of this sphere, and they measure from 0.1 to 0.2 inches across (3mm to 6mm).
