This naturally terminated dravite tourmaline crystal is bi-terminated with slightly abraded surfaces. It appears to be a dark brown color, however when held to a light as shown it is semi-transparent with cabochon gem grade transparency and rich dark orange-brown natural color (100% natural color - this natural dravite tourmaline is unheated and untreated). This natural dravite tourmaline specimen has a relatively flat shape. It is semi-transparent with several cabochon gem grade areas. It has different colors when viewed under daylight versus incandescent light. Under normal incandescent light it has golden-yellow colors, and under daylight (see photo at left) the colors change to shades of rich yellow green (100% natural colors - this natural dravite tourmaline is unheated and untreated).

It has a beautiful mix of 100% natural colors with flashes of deep golden to rich orange- brown at different angles. This rare tourmaline gem faces up eye-clean, with a single tiny natural inclusion near the girdle that is visible only with bright illumination and very close inspection. This 9.5mm round brilliant cut tourmaline has excellent brilliance, and this fine quality collector gem is completely clean even with magnification! This amazing flawless pleochroic tourmaline gem has medium green natural color in one direction, and it has medium-dark brown natural color at 90 degrees. This fine quality gem was carefully oriented by the gem-cutter to show both colors at once when the gem is facing up as shown at left. The colors mix and blend wonderfully as you turn the pendant.
