This fine quality rutile specimen shows beautiful adamantine metallic luster. It is comprised of a larger rutile crystal with a smaller rutile twinned crystal measuring 10mm long with perfect terminations coming off near the tip of the main crystal at an angle of 45 degrees. When placed near a bright light source both of these metallic rutile crystals are transparent and have some flawless areas with a deep red color. This rutile specimen was discovered near the city of Diamantina in Minas Gerais, Brazil .

This rare size rutile crystal measures 2.2 inches long! It has sub-metallic adamantine luster and mostly perfect terminations with minor abrasions. It has a reddish brown color and it is transparent along its edges when placed near a bright light source.

This raw rough specimen of gold rutile with hematite on translucent quartz matrix is completely natural - just as it was found in the earth. This specimen is unheated and untreated, and all surfaces are completely natural. The hematite has very brilliant metallic luster. There is a large expanse of specular hematite with gold rutile exposed on the surface of the quartz as shown.
