Natural Peridot: Peridot Mineral Specimens, Raw Peridot in Matrix, and Peridot Crystals
Genuine Peridot Items & other Mineral Specimens in our Virtual Gallery
Peridot is the natural color green variety of the mineral olivine.
We do have additional peridot mineral specimens in stock. Many of our raw peridot crystals have gem-grade areas inside and can be used as superior grade peridot lapidary rough. Be sure to let us know if you have any natural peridot requests.
From ancient times until the eighteenth century, peridot was known by the names topazion or topaz. This was due to the fact that one of peridot's earliest mining locations
was on the island of Topazios (known today as Zebirget or
Isle of St. John) located in the Red Sea. In the eighteenth century
the official name topaz was given to our mineral topaz of today, and gem-grade green olivine crystals then became
known as peridot! Peridot is still being mined today at several locations around the world. We specialize in unheated and untreated real peridot that was mined in the earth! Right now, we are offering natural raw peridot pieces in all sizes including some very rare large peridot mineral specimens & amazing large peridot crystals weighing over 300 carats each! See our selection of real peridot gemstones that were handcrafted from natural peridot crystals! Be sure to see our real peridot jewelry items set with these genuine peridot gemstones.
Be sure to also see our genuine San Carlos Peridot Jewelry designs, each one handcrafted and set with natural peridot gems mined on the San Carlos Indian Reservation in Arizona, USA.
We offer a large selection of genuine peridot jewelry designs including peridot earrings, necklaces, bracelets and peridot rings which available in pure sterling silver and also in solid 14k gold. Please see the links below for additional peridot items including peridot gemstones!
Each of our peridot mineral specimens & crystals is completely natural, and they were all mined in either Burma, Pakistan, or the USA. You may have noticed that some of our peridot is lighter green and some has darker green color, or that the hue varies from yellowish-green to green to olive green. This is because we do not treat our peridot in any way. Here at mineralminers.com, we do not have any heated or treated peridots, each one is 100% natural! We specialize in rare quality natural peridots, and we do have gem-grade peridot crystals in stock, including some very rare quality peridot crystals and some very large peridot mineral specimens. We also have small peridot mineral specimens available, and we are currently offering special volume discounts on these inexpensive peridot specimens!
Information about genuine peridot and its history, physical properties, chemistry, occurance, and metaphysical uses is displayed on our peridot information page.
